Abstract: This article summarizes the experience of linguists on studying Honchar’s lexicon weight in the development of modern Ukrainian language. Posted a rich Quotation material of the last works of the writer, that illustrates Honchar’s excellence in creating new artistic images, new forms of play deep semantic content of the words.
Oles Honchar is one of those writers who, due to strong global lingual thinking, have powerful neo lexicon. Therefore, all researchers of Honchar’s work agree on the need for creation a dictionary of his Ukrainian vocabulary and systematic study of his linguistic creativity. To cover the entire lexical wealth of writer author proposes the creation of a common vocabulary thesaurus of Honchar’s vocabulary (modeled on the dictionary Shevchenko) and some dictionaries of Honchar’s neo lexicons and concordances of individual usage of vocabulary by writer. In this way, the lingual thinking of the writer will be reproduced and specificity the era of the twentieth century as well.
Honchar’s Lexicon, the article’s author stresses, is to analyze / was analyzed on the background of the Summary Word Index of Ukrainian language late eighteenth – early XXI century. This approach will help us to understand, what the well-known author uses words that are new words created exactly, and what of his words are still beyond words included into dictionary (and are in the fund of words are still beyond vocabulary).
Synthesizing Lexicons of various writers in a single system based on the Summary Word Index of Ukrainian language late eighteenth – early XXI century is a perspective trend of modern integrated and author lexicography, linguistics, and the basis of macro scientific methods of research in general. Comparison of lexicons of different writers is a way to study the specifics of their lingual thinking and the overall dynamics of the language system and its figurative means.
