Abstract: This article proceeds investigating the archive of the first Norwegian Professor of Slavic languages Olaf Broch and is particularly focused on several letters sent by the Ukrainian linguist Ivan Zilyns’kyi. It is known that the Norwegian professor Broch and Ukrainian student Zilyns’kyi met in Vienna in 1905, but it remained suprisingly unknown they corresponded for 43 years until now. These letters represent a ‘blank spot’ in Ukrainian-Norwegian scientific relations to be filled in. The first letter was published in the previous issue. This article contains four letters from Zilyns’kyi to Broch.
Keywords: Ivan Zilyns’kyi, Olaf Broch, correspondence, Ukrainian dialectology, Ukrainian-Norwegian scholarly relations.
