Grammatical lexicography: condition and perspectives

Abstract: The article describes the grammatical lexicography as a separate branch of Ukrainian linguistics with search, individual and authorial character, which is primarily shown in grammatical dictionaries made on various theoretical principles.

The conceptual peculiarities and new principles of constructing academic grammartical dictionaries and reference books of such units as conjunctions, prepositions and particles are marked, the differences of the first used formalized description of word-changing signs of words in the grammatical dictionary, which is caused primarily by the requirements of modern practice, are noted.

The innovative character of the first created dictionary of verbal control is grounded, attention is paid to the criteria of the choice of verb dependent grammatical forms of nouns and their endings.

The first and very important for modern linguistic practice grammatical dictionary of inter-part-of-speech homonyms, which contains and fully describes according to the broad source base homo-pairs and homo-complexes of the Ukrainian literary language, was positively evaluated.

The tendency towards the compiling of educational dictionaries on the material of full-meaning classes of words, devoted to the most difficult questions of their grammatical use or changing was stated.
