THE LANGUAGE OF THE CREATIVE PERSONALITY AND PROBLEMS OF ITS LEXICOGRAPHY

Heading: Researches
Language: Ukrainian

Abstract: The article outlines the creation of outstanding writers and publicists as a reliable source of enrichment of the national language innovations (lexical-phraseological, grammatical, word-building, stylistic). The artistic language through which the realization of culture takes place, needs to be consolidated in the author’s dictionary as a reliable tool for the study of the idiostyle of the creative linguistic personality. It is emphasized that the vocabulary is intended to answer two basic linguistic questions: the reason for the creation of new words and the linguistic means of their creation. Also, the achievements of domestic lexicography in the study of the language of creative personalities are highlighted and the importance of lexicographic interpretation of author innovations as the basis for further study of the language of creative personalities is emphasized. The basic conceptual and methodical and procedural principles of working out the language of individual authors are outlined. It focuses on several fundamentally important tasks facing the compiler of the author’s dictionary, namely: the creation of a vocabulary register, an explanation of the author’s use of words and taking into account the specifics of the presentation in the dictionary of individual linguistic activities, primarily the structure of articles for various types of registry units. The source database of the future dictionary, which has not yet been specifically explored and which should substantially complement the current core of the lexical system of the Ukrainian language, its active vocabulary, has been characterized. The richness and variety of linguistic imaging tools used by creative personalities are highlighted, some trends in the individual and authorial word-formation were traced, a direct relationship between author’s word-making resources and style was revealed. It is noted that such lexicographic work of a new type for Ukrainian language will ensure proper registration and the necessary normalization of the current state of the Ukrainian literary language, will serve as a reliable factual and methodological basis for the construction of a new interpretative dictionary of a new type.
