Abstract: The article examines the linguistic personality of the Ukrainian journalist and political blogger Ostap Drozdov as manifested in his publications on the personal Telegram channel “Ostap Drozdov”. It analyzes the stylistic features of his blog-texts and the communicative strategies and tactics that shape his individual language style and influence his readership. The source base comprises 109 posts published between 1 and 31 July 2025, from which 345 language units representing the blogger’s linguistic personality were excerpted for analysis. It is established that Drozdov’s linguistic personality is grounded in solid knowledge of geopolitics, journalism, and political communication, together with the ability to interpret topical socio-political facts and verbalize his own position effectively. The material shows that the author is a native speaker of the Naddnister dialect (a subgroup of the Galician-Bukovynian dialects of southwestern Ukrainian), a prolific coiner of neologisms, an active user of political terminology, and a skillful employer of emotionally coloured vocabulary, including poetic lexis, colloquialisms, and diminutive or pejorative forms. Particular attention is paid to the author’s linguistic and national stance, represented through motivated deviations from spelling norms in the lower-case rendering of proper names associated with the aggressor state. The study also describes stylistic devices used to achieve communicative-pragmatic goals, namely metaphor, comparison, anaphora/epiphora, parallelism, gradation, parcelling, and rhetorical questions. The findings show that Drozdov’s texts target a politically literate audience capable of perceiving complex syntax and decoding allusions, which confirms his role as an influential voice in contemporary Ukrainian political Internet discourse.
