Abstract: The materials of the report illustrate the role of stylistics and culture of language in the intensification and modernization of modern humanities. It is noted that they present a separate direction of linguistic research. First, he testifies to the academic level of comprehension of the phenomenon of the literary standard of the Ukrainian language. Secondly, linguistic and language culture are closely related to the practical cultural and educational strategies of Ukrainian society. Particular attention is paid to the interdisciplinary nature of stylistic knowledge. The attention is paid to the internal professional interaction of the directions of language – literature, language – history, language – sociology, language – culturology, language – jurisprudence, language – psychology, language – theater, language – radio, television. It is also noted that there is a possibility of complementary interaction between natural sciences and humanities.

It was emphasized that in situation of personnel crisis the creation of joint research projects with departments of higher education is perspective.

The coauthors emphasized that in the department of stylistics and culture of the language from the very beginning of its creation was developed the theory of a broad understanding of the culture of the language. This leads to a closer connection with social psychology, synergetics, hermeneutics, linguistic culturology.

One of its consequences is the proper theoretical, terminological reorientation of stylistics and the culture of the language.

The article highlights the social challenges faced by modern academic science in its search for effective influence on the humanitarian culture of Ukrainian society.
