Reviewing
The editorial board of the journal accepts original, previously unpublished scientific, theoretical and research articles.
All manuscripts received by the journal editorial board are checked by the editor-in-chief for the purpose, subject matter, and reactionary policy of the publication.
Reviewing manuscripts consists of two stages: internal and external evaluation.
Upon the recommendation of the reviewers and the decision of the journal editorial board, manuscripts that do not meet the subject matter or editorial policy of the publication are rejected, and those that do not meet the journal’s requirements for structure and design are returned to the authors for revision, who have the right to resubmit them to the journal editorial board.

The licensing policy of the journal “Ukrainian Language” is governed by the basic terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) which allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, quote, or refer to the full texts of the journal’s articles, while retaining copyright.

The purpose of the journal “Ukrainian language” is to publish original, previously unpublished scientific, theoretical and research articles devoted to current problems of Ukrainian linguistics, in particular grammar, word formation, dialectology, sociolinguistics, speech culture, problems of spelling, codification of norms, lexicology, lexicography, scientific terminology, history of the Ukrainian language and its relations with other languages, history of linguistic Ukrainian studies, etc.
The journal publishes scientific and theoretical articles by Ukrainian and foreign specialists in the Ukrainian language in the following sections: “Research”, “Research by young scientists” (works by novice scientists and postgraduates), “Discussions”.
On the pages of the journal, in the section “Reviews and Reviews”, we publish reviews of new developments in Ukrainian linguistics and reviews of important scientific publications.
The column “Scientific Figures of Ukrainian Linguists” is dedicated to the analysis of the creative work of prominent linguists, and the column “Scientific Chronicle” summarizes problems discussed at conferences, congresses, forums, and symposiums.
The purpose of the publication is to to familiarize readers with current issues of the social and state status of the Ukrainian literary language, the codification of its norms, and history, to inform the scientific and general public about the latest achievements of Ukrainian linguistics.
